Terms of Use

1. What this service does

TubeAnalyzer accepts a YouTube channel name and an email address, retrieves publicly available statistics for that channel via the YouTube Data API, and emails an interactive report to the address supplied. No YouTube or Google account sign-in is required or requested from you, and TubeAnalyzer does not access anyone's private YouTube account data.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use TubeAnalyzer. By submitting the form you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Automate, script, or bulk-submit requests to this service outside of normal, occasional use;
• Use the service in a way that violates the YouTube Terms of Service or the YouTube API Services Terms of Service;
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, or use the service to harass, spam, or build a profile on any individual;
• Submit an email address you do not own or have not been authorized to use.

4. No warranty

Channel statistics are supplied by the YouTube Data API and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. TubeAnalyzer is provided "as is," free of charge, with no guarantee of accuracy, uptime, or fitness for any particular purpose.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TubeAnalyzer and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.

6. Changes and termination

We may modify or discontinue the service, or restrict access for anyone who violates these terms, at any time and without notice.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TubeAnalyzer ("we," "us") operates yessherlock.com. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the analysis form, why, and what your rights are.

2. Data we collect

• Channel name you enter — used only as a search query against the YouTube Data API;
• Email address you supply — used to deliver the report and, if you sign up, to manage your account;
• IP address and browser user agent — logged briefly for rate-limiting and abuse prevention;
• Timestamps of each request.

We do not require or request access to your YouTube or Google account.

3. Cookies

TubeAnalyzer sets a single cookie: the standard PHP session cookie, created when you sign in. It contains no tracking identifiers and is used solely to keep you signed in as you move between pages. It is a session cookie — it expires automatically when you close your browser, and we do not use it to follow you across other sites.

We do not use any third-party, advertising, or analytics cookies. If you block or clear cookies, TubeAnalyzer will still work for anonymous analysis, but signing in to your account will not.

4. YouTube API Services & Google data

TubeAnalyzer uses YouTube API Services to retrieve publicly available channel data (subscriber counts, view counts, video metadata, and statistics). By using TubeAnalyzer you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's use of information received from the YouTube API Services is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

5. How we use your data

• To generate and email your requested channel report;
• To prevent abuse of the service (rate limiting by IP address);
• To operate, maintain, and improve TubeAnalyzer.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

6. Who we share data with

We use the following service providers to operate TubeAnalyzer, each of which processes a limited slice of data on our behalf:

• Google / YouTube Data API — receives the channel name you search for;
• Resend — delivers the report email to the address you provide;
• Render — hosts our application and database infrastructure.

Generated reports are built entirely from public YouTube channel statistics and do not contain your email address or other contact details.

7. Data retention

We keep analysis records (channel name, email, report data) to operate the service and to avoid re-processing duplicate requests. You may request deletion at any time — see "Your rights" below.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what data we hold about your email address;
• Delete your data from our systems;
• Stop sending you further emails.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access-controlled hosting) to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.

10. Children's privacy

TubeAnalyzer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will update the effective date above.
